Not only do we recommend power and handling upgrades for the Fiesta ST180, we strongly recommend the braking capability to suit your driving needs.
This page is designed for you to be able to design a brake package that is suitable for yourself. Of course if you would like any recommendations, or just some advice on what to go for, our messages are always open.
For the general fast road driver, depending on how fast, we would push you towards a less aggressive compound brake pad, such as the EBC yellowstuff or Mintex 1144- M1144 has now been replaced by the slightly better performing M3322. These particular pads will still accommodate an adequate cold biting point, but hold on for longer when pressing the middle pedal for extended periods of time.
For customers who are using the vehicle for more track orientated use, we would push you towards a much more aggressive brake pad, such as the EBC RPX/RP1. With these brake pads you will experience heavier amounts of brake dust, more apparent brake noise and a slightly less direct feedback with the brakes when cold. With that being said, these brakes will want to chuck you through windscreen and will give you extreme amounts of confidence on track.
Along with upgraded brake pads, brake discs are just as important. As such we always opt for genuine ford discs.
With all our brake kits we strongly recommend pairing any kit with a set of HEL braided brake lines and good fluid, Motul RBF660 is on the shelf at a small extra cost
This kit includes Genuine Ford front discs, we have options for different pads and braided lines
For fast road use or for a small upgrade over stock pads EBC YellowStuf are a good option. We personally recommend paying a little extra and going for the Mintex M1144, these are a really good overall option. Both of these options are fully R90 compliant and road legal
For track use or more we would recommend the EBC RP1 or RPX (RPX is the most aggressive pad)
